Nowadays, many of us live in a culture that really puts an emphasis on the party lifestyle, but the fact is that partying isn’t for everyone – whether you prefer not to be around alcohol, people who drink too much of it, or are just getting to the stage in life where you find other things more enjoyable than partying every weekend, then there’s really no reason why you have to put yourself in a position where it’s expected of you in order to have fun.

Partying certainly isn’t the only way to have fun, so if you’re interested in getting your friends on board with new activities that will allow you all to have fun together and spend some quality time making memories, but are over the party lifestyle, then in this post we’re going to share with you some of the ways you can spend quality time with your friends without partying.

Hiking:

If you’re someone who appreciates the outdoors and enjoys a more active lifestyle, then hiking could really be a great way to spend some quality time with your friends. Not only is it something that allows to get fit and enjoy nature, but it’s a great way to connect with each other over something that truly matters and make some fun memories that you’ll actually remember the next day and won’t have to deal with a horrible hangover as a result of too much partying.

One of the best things about hiking is that you can basically do it anywhere and if you do your research, you’ll see that there are likely many good trails for hiking and walking close to where you live, and you’ll find some amazing things and places that you didn’t know where there if you take some time to look around and see what’s out there.

Hiking is also free, so apart from getting yourself some good shoes and maybe some waterproof clothing in case it rains, then you’re going to spend a lot less money on hiking than you’ll spend at a bar on one night.

Take a trip:

Traveling is something that’s often made even better when you do it with people who you’re close to, and it’s a really a great way to spend quality time together, so if you’re looking for something that’s affordable and enjoyable, then you could do something like take a short trip in your own country together, or even enjoy a city break together where you can also relax a bit.

If you want to do something that caters to a certain interest you all have, for example, going to play golf, then you could take a trip to do this as well – this is especially good if the place you live doesn’t really lend itself well to outdoor activities like golf because of the climate, so you could book an all-inclusive golfing trip.

Of course, if you’re going to play golf and need some new equipment, then you’re best buying this beofre you go at somewhere like rock bottom golf since it’s not always possible to get equipment at the resorts, and if it is, then they will likely be quite overpriced, so it’s best to bring your own stuff.

Have a movie night:

Sometimes just staying home with your friends and chilling out whilst watching a movie is really all you need. Cook some good food and relax whilst watching something you can all enjoy because you don’t always need to be spending money or venturing far away to enjoy the company of the people you care about most. Even if you don’t want to stay home, then just a simple trip to the cinema can be equally enjoyable and something that’s also pretty affordable in most cases.

Start a hobby together:

Usually we’re friends with people who we relate to on different levels, and part of this often stems from a shared interest of some kind, so why not consider taking up or enjoying a shared hobby with your friends? There are now so many options available in the form of classes, such as cooking, languages, or really anything you can think of where you can enjoy hobbies, and this is a great way to spend some quality time with your friends if you’re not looking to spend a load of money or go crazy on partying.

We hope that this post has been useful for you in helping you see just how you can spend time with the people you care about if you’re not into partying and that life doesn’t have to revolve around that in order to have fun.
