Cardio For People That Hate Cardio

If you’re like me you hate cardio! You hate the thought of it and can’t stand the thought of going to a class that’s sixty minutes of pure cardio hell. Well here’s a cardio workout for you that won’t bore you and will probably burn more calories and enhance your fitness more-so than that mediocre 60 minute cardio session.

First be sure to warm up thoroughly with the warm-up here.

Treadmill Sprint (9-14 mph, depending on fitness level) 60 seconds
Rower (200-300 meters, depending on fitness level) 60 seconds
Jumprope (as quickly as possible) 60 seconds
Kettlebell Swings 30 seconds
Rest 30 seconds
Repeat 4 – 10 rounds

The number of rounds will depend upon your fitness level; beginners perform 4 while more advanced trainees can perform 8 or more rounds)

That’s it! A quick but intense HIIT Cardio workout that will get your heart rate up, improve cardiac output, burn tons of calories and because of the intensity it will have a great afterburn (burning calories 24 -48 hours after the workout) than long duration cardio.
